About
Practitioners, not consultants.
Outcome.work was founded by a team of product managers, designers, data scientists, GTM engineers, and ML engineers who spent the better part of two decades inside startups — from pre-seed rounds through late-stage growth and IPOs. Across more than 40 combined years, we've seen what works, and a lot more of what doesn't.
We started Outcome.work because we kept seeing the same avoidable mistake: teams spending their most limited resources — capital and time — building solutions to problems their customers didn't actually have. The product was right. The assumption about the customer was wrong.
Our work is about fixing that. We help founders and operators take a structured approach to understanding what their customers genuinely need, so they can move fast on the things that matter and stop early on the things that don't.
Who we are
A cross-functional team with deep experience across the full product lifecycle — not one discipline, one perspective.
Product Management
Defining the right problem before writing a line of code.
Design
Making solutions simple enough that customers actually use them.
Data Science
Turning messy signals into decisions worth acting on.
GTM Engineering
Building the systems that get product in front of the right customers.
ML Engineering
Productionizing AI so it works reliably — not just in demos.
40+ years across every stage
We've worked across industries — from consumer software and B2B SaaS to fintech and marketplaces — at companies that made it and many that didn't. That range is the point: the patterns that predict success and failure show up regardless of sector.
Pre-seed & Seed
Zero to first paying customers. Finding the signal in the noise.
Series A – C
Scaling what works. Not every early hypothesis survives contact with growth.
Late stage & IPO
Operating at scale. Where process matters as much as insight.
How we think
The principles that guide how we work — with clients and in the products we build ourselves.
Problem before solution
Most failed startups built the wrong thing — not the wrong way. We help teams slow down on the problem so they can move fast on the solution.
Structure beats intuition
Pattern recognition is useful. But a structured approach to customer discovery and validation consistently outperforms gut feel, especially under time and capital pressure.
Learn fast, spend less
The goal is to find out what your customers actually need before you've spent the budget proving what they don't. Fast, cheap experiments beat slow, expensive assumptions.
Failures teach more than successes
We've been inside companies that succeeded and many more that didn't. The failures were more instructive. We bring both to the table.
